Rene Marie Russo was an American film director, actor and supermodel. The elegant beauty of Rene Marie is reflected in her lengthy career as a performer and actress. Her career began as a fashion model in the year 1970 and she quickly rose to prominence. After studying acting Russo embarked on a career as a model at the age of Los Angeles. Russo's screen debut was in ABCs 1987 drama Sable, where she played Eden Kendell. In her debut film Major League two years after, she played Tom Berengers romantic interest. Some critics initially doubted her acting skills However, her consistently good performance won them over. They were most impressed with her in the film Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she stood her own against Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. But, as she admits she was never a fanatic with acting. After a prolonged break, she self-imposed the role in 2005. She then made a comeback as a part of the film about superheroes called Thor. Additionally, she was a part-star in Nightcrawler which was her husband's Oscar Award winning film. The Intern followed, as did Just Getting Started.

Rose Namajunas was one of UFC's most popular female athletes. Her journey began in the amateur ranks, participating in various regional events. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her in and then she joined Ultimate Fighting Championships. Thanks to her accomplishments in and outside the octagon, Namajunas has been an everyday word ever since her joining the UFC. Namajunas, a Lithuanian-immigrant, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the 29th of June, 1992. Rose participated in many sports as a child such as basketball and kickboxing. When she was 18 years old, she made her professional debut for Invicta Fighting Championships where she fought two times via submission. Dana White noticed this and in December 2014, aged 22, she signed her to fight as a strawweight in the UFC. Her career has had highs as well as lows, yet she is always capable of coming out of it with a win. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 in the Women's Strawweight Title. She won the fight by technical knockout within 3 minutes of the first round. This was the first ever time a woman competed in a title fight with any major organization worldwide. Namajunas was victorious in several bouts after this fight and was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC for her victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
